I have not had healthcare in over 3 years I am a temp at my job and they do not provide benefits. However they say I am not eligible for Medicaid. In no way can I afford to pay for healthcare at the prices they charge. I am a 35 year old woman with health issues who cannot even see a doctor. I was diagnosed with Fibroids after suffering a miscarriage I had to stay in the hospital and have a D&C performed with no insurance the bill was about 5k I cant afford to pay so now i'm in collections. On top of that never have been able to have a follow up to see if my condition has progressed. I have so many aches and pains and yet I have to choose between my health and paying my rent of feeding my kids. I have worked hard all my life and due to the economy and rough times am stuck in a job that will not provide me benefits but I need to work to support my family. There is a history of ovarian cancer in my family but I can't even afford to get a check-up. It scares me because my family depends on me and if something happen i wouldn't know until its too late. I hope and pray every day for affordable healthcare just so I can take care of myself.
