Dear Obama:
I am a Registered Nurse for 24 years working
in hospitals. I had to have restruction surgery on my left hand . I had Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance and they still have not paid all of my doctors bills I had cared for my brother who later died of colon cancer after 2 year of fighting for his life.
I received disibility for about 16 plus weeks and for the last 4 weeks I were sick my funds ran out. I had to go back to work at the hospital. I have worked at this hospital for the past 18 1/2 years. I love my job, I will help anyone and everyone that need my help.
I returned back to work on June 19, 2009, I got written up on June 18, 2009. Please tell me what wrong with this picture? Because I were unable to give a patient pain med's. I were termination in my computer system. I had notified the supervisor, charge nurse and the head nurse and gave my patient to another nurse. The head nurse blamed me...
I worked for two other days she wrote me up again, "I refused to go into a isolation room without the appropriate gown patient had MRSA and the patient were on a Bi-Pap mechine". Wrong the patient were placed on a bi-pap mechine for sinus stenosis he had that problem corrected and were not in no acute resp. distress he were given his anxiety medication and returned back to the rehab. center shortly afterward. I were fired for failure to render care to a reasably satisfactory degree, failure to perform duties, refused to go into isolation room. Now I were in and out of the patient room, caring for my patient. I informed her of that it a like of communication problem. No one will listen to me. The only thing I see can see wrong with me the color of my skin and my age . There are a lot of the older nurses getting fired for strange reason.
I have been treated unfair by this hospital.
This nurse has only a 2year degree and I have 4 1/2 years degree. No nurse should have that type of position without a Master degree or a BSN. I trained this nurse and now she fired me. Mr. president I need you help...
