In 1990, I came down with cancer. I lived in Canada at the time but was on a sabbatical in Colorado. Not being able to get US health care, I went back to Toronto where I had a checkup, ultrasound and operation in 7 days. Not one bill. I'm living back in the US now, but if Americans ever experienced health care as given in other G8 countries, they would never accept what we have now. We need a public option in the US!
