I arrived in the US in 1991, I was 27 years old. I was born in France. I experienced both Europe and the US. Several years ago I became an American Citizen and it is the most exciting day of my life. I still can see my husband (who was born in the US) waiting for me outside the building where I received my Citizenship in Sacramento with a American flag and a rose! What I love about the US is the sense that anything is possible! It is still a young country, there are not as many barriers as there are in Europe. Europe can be cynical (been there, done that) and its rich tradition and history sometimes work against creativity. But there are two things that I miss from France. Health care and Education. I received a very good education in the French public school system and realize now that I took it for granted! Like I took the health care system for granted. Doctors visit their patient at home, they are reachable and closer to their patients. I get irritated when I hear Republican using the word "socialism" to scare American people. I have been with Kaiser Permanente for several years. It never came close to what I experienced in Europe... actually it looks like what the Republican want the American people to be scared with, a health care run by bureaucrats... and to think that it's a private company! I also cannot believe that a Health care company can drop a patient!!! What can be worse and more scary than that? Why is this allowed? It's immoral and anti American. A friend of mine is going to lose its health insurance. He has a baby and a seven years old daughter. I know the bad economy has a lot to do with that but this shouldn't not happened in America.

American can find a a Health Care that will work for all American and in accord with its culture, public or private it doesn't matter, ultimatly the people working in healthcare are the one who will determine its value. Health care needs to be affordable and in the middle of such a crisis Republican should be on the side of the American people. They look like to me they stand more on the side the Health Company Insurances.

Please stop the Republican from lying and scaring people. (...and they wonder why they are going through crisis)
